Pengaruh Diabetes Self Management Education (DSME) Terhadap Kepatuhan Pasien Dalam Pelaksanaan Terapi Diabetes Melitus (DM) Tipe 2

Globalisation in every aspect has influenced, the development of technology and industry which brought many changes toward the society’s behavior and life style even into the environment. This research aimed to analyse the effects of the Diabetes of Self Management Education (DSME) on the patient’s obedience in therapy implementation of Diabetes Melitus (DM) Type 2 at the Interna Poli of Syekh Yusuf Local General Hospital, Gowa Regency.The method used in the research was the Pre-experimental by design of research which is one group pretest-posttest design. The total samples comprised 12 patients of Diabetes Melitus, who were chosen using the consequtivee sampling technique. The data were collected through questionnaires, observation, and interviews. The data were then analyzed using the univariate and bivariate analyses.The research result revealed that the disease of Diabetes melitus was suffered more by women (66,7%), ages of around < 50 years (66,7), and the duration of suffering from Diabetes < 5 tahun years (58,3%). The result statistics fair t testindicated that the extension had an effect on the knowledge improvement (p=0,000), attitude change (p = 0,002), and the improvement of skills (p = 0,000). The result of the statistics spearmancorelation test showed that the knowledge improvement (p = 0,036), behavior (p = 0,019), skills (p = 0,017) has effects of the patients’ obedience int the implementation of therapy of the Diabetes Melitus. meanwhile the age (p = 0,607) and DM suffering time (p = 0,444) had no effect on the patients’ obedience in the implementation of Diabetes Melitus theraphy.
