Qualitative Analysis of the Management of Patient Safety Targets at Tomohon City Regional General Hospital

Patient safety goals include accurate patient identification, effective communication, increased drug safety, certainty of the right location, the right procedures, the right patient, reduction of the risk of infection and the reduction of the risk of patients falling at the Regional General Hospital Anugrah Kota Tomohon. The type of qualitative research with a sample of 9 people. In the results of the study, it was found that there was an accuracy in patient identification at Anugrah Hospital in Tomohon City, namely the use of identity bracelets. Similarly, an increase in effective communication is demonstrated by the use of donkey bridges, however, in the observation of verbal command documents, the commander does not re-verify. Then, the increased safety of drugs to watch out for (high alert) is found that they have a list of drugs stored and locked in a special room, if they are going to be used, they have to double-check. In accordance with what was conveyed by the informant, it was obtained certainty of the right location, the right procedures, the right patients that they had used the checklist and had provided education to the patient. Reducing the risk of infections related to health services has been implemented with handwashing guidelines from WHO, it was also found that there is the application of 5 moments and 6 steps. In reducing the risk of patients falling, the use of scales and labels was found on each patient and continuous monitoring was carried out. Anugrah Hospital Tomohon City applies patient safety target criteria based on applicable rules and in accordance with accreditation standards.
