Hubungan Lama Terapi Cairan Intravena Dengan Kejadian Plebitis di Ruang Interna RSUD Labuang Baji Makassar

Abstrak

Phlebitis as an inflammation or venous infectious that characterized by pain, swelling and redness along the vein is attached infusion due to microorganism infectious during treatment in the hospital. The purpose of this study was to know the relationship between intravenous fluid therapy periods with phlebitis at intern room in the RSUD Labuang Baji Makassar. This study is descriptive correlation research with cross sectional method, the population in this study is al patient who treated at intern room with intravenous therapy. The sampling using accidental sampling, with total sample by 30 samples as criteria inclusion. The data collecting by using a questionnaire sheet. The collected data is proceed and analyzed by using Microsoft excel and statistical program. The data analysis includes demography by finding frequency distribution, univariate analysis to find frequency distribution, bivariate with chi-square test to look a relationship inter variables. The result of bivariate analysis is obtained a relationship between intravenous fluid therapy period with phlebitis (p = 0,004 < α 0,05). The conclusion is this study is there is a relationship between intravenous fluid therapy period with phlebitis at intern room of Labuang Baji Makassar.
